...Ideas
To get to know us better, here are some examples of gifts & events we have done.
Gifts:
40th Birthday
A client wants to celebrate a friend for her 40th birthday with a generous and creative gift.
Happy Thought: Begin with a card that introduces the gift and outlines that a 40th birthday is an excuse to "be merry,” "be pampered,” "be dazzling,” and "go shopping.” Inside the gift bag place coordinating gift tags with each of those messages attached to a bottle of the recipient’s favorite wine (be merry), a gift certificate for a spa day (be pampered), a new pair of earrings and evening bag (be dazzling), and a gift card to the recipient’s favorite clothing store (go shopping).
Retirement
A colleague is retiring after 32 years with the company. What would be a good gift?
Happy Thought: Write an email to his colleagues around the country asking for quotes, messages, and photos and then compile them into a memory book, signed by all of his local colleagues as well.
Pet Sympathy
A client called and a co-worker’s dog had passed away suddenly. What should he get for his co-worker?
Happy Thought: a dog house frame with a place for the animal’s photo and name and a blank card in which to write, "To always remember Lucky.”
Father’s Day/New Baby
It’s Father’s Day and there are now three dads in the family – great grandpa, grandpa, and the new dad who has a three month old son. What should a family member give?
Happy Thought: matching shirts for all the dads to wear and an oversized card saying, "We bring the food. We do the dishes. You do the eating. Dinner for the whole family is on us.” The family member then makes dinner at the new parents’ home, giving the new mom and dad a rest and the family a chance to be together.
New Business
A friend just started his own consulting business. What is an appropriate and not too expensive gift?
Happy Thought: a glass business card – a 3” x 4” piece of solid glass with the image of the consultant’s new business card etched onto it. He can place this memento on his desk, celebrating his new venture.
